Consolidate Storage Assets in Virtual Storage Pools
DataCore can help you effectively reduce the number of servers and storage devices by intelligently and securely sharing centralized resources among them, even when the disks at your disposal consists of dissimilar models and brands.
Our storage virtualization software consolidates like and unlike storage devices that may have been isolated on individual servers to become part of a larger shared storage pool. This device-independent approach enables you to segregate the resources into tiers according to price/performance and availability characteristics, yet centrally manage how you provision and protect them. Over time, you can upgrade the pool and retire equipment in the background without taking down applications, or simply move older but useful disk arrays into less demanding roles.
The virtual pool is accessed using conventional iSCSI and Fibre Channel SAN protocols even though some or all of the physical storage devices use direct-attached interfaces such as SATA, or SAS.
