Host Operating Systems Compatibility
DataCore storage virtualization software provides virtual disks (block storage LUNs) to all the popular host operating systems that use standard disk drives with 512 byte sectors. These include:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Microsoft Windows 7
- Apple MacOS X
- Novell Netware
- Unix
- HP-UX
- IBM AIX
- Sun Solaris
- RedHat Linux
- SUSE Linux
Those hosts access the virtual disks using SAN protocols, including iSCSI, Fibre Channel and Fibre Channel over Ethernet.
The DataCore SANsymphony-V software runs on locked-down Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems.
Note: Mainframe operating systems such as IBM z/OS, z/TPF, z/VSE or z/VM are not supported
